I am a friendly individual with a great passion and dedication towards my work in counselling. I want to see and help adults and young people to work through their struggles, whatever they may be. My non-judgement approach towards my work allows me to gain trust and build relationships quickly. I offer warm, understanding, down to earth counselling, in a safe space. My counselling style is flexible and adaptable to everyone. Using an integrative model, I draw on different counselling modalities and can tailor sessions to the individual.

As well as practicing as an integrative counsellor, I have taught PE for over 20 years and have worked with young people across a wide variety of settings. My counselling experience covers secondary school age children where I use a range of creative interventions to engage and support young people. These include aspects of CBT, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Art Therapy, walk/exercise and talk Therapy and more. I have practiced in the area of suicide prevention, self-harm, anxiety, depression, gender, sexual and neurodiversity, low self-esteem/self-worth, relationship counselling and grief counselling.
I feel I can relate well to young people, helping them to feel at ease and enabling them to process and work through all that they are experiencing. I have passion to help and see these teenagers and young adults find a positive way forward that gives them hope for their future and a way to live life that is healthy and fulfilling for them. |
